The HDMI Micro Type D connector was introduced with HDMI v1.4.It retains the 19 pins used in the standard Type A connector but its size is reduced to 2.8mm x 6.4mm.The Micro connector is used on mobile phones and other similar portable devices where the slimmer profile of the device requires smaller sockets.The other end of the cable has a standard HDMI Type A Male plug for connecting to any device with a standard HDMI Type A socket.
